Our Team
ALLIE MARTEL
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Analog Capital’s Founder & Principal, Allie Martel, pairs her technical background in private equity and investment banking with deep relationships, taking a people first approach to business transition. Allie is utilizing her skillset to acquire a Western Canadian business from an owner that wants to ensure operational continuity through a transition of leadership and ownership. Allie will work alongside them to develop a succession plan, stepping into the operations to lead the organization and further build upon the company’s legacy.
Upon graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Accounting, Allie began her career in investment banking at TD Securities, completing over $2 billion of transactions in M&A advisory mandates, equity raises and debt financings across the energy sector.
Following her time at TD, Allie facilitated over $800 million of transactions in her five years at TriWest Capital Partners, the longest standing private equity firm in Western Canada. Allie has led every element of an acquisition, from sourcing deals and building relationships, to transaction structuring and diligence, ultimately culminating in successful long-term investments.
Allie stepped into the operational seat on a regular basis, taking an active role working alongside management teams, and having served as a Board Director for The Fastener Group, and member of the investment team for nine portfolio companies through her time in private equity.
Allie lives in Calgary, AB with her husband, and spends her free time running marathons, reading, mentoring finance students, skiing and hiking in the mountains.
VALUES
Relationships are at the core of everything Allie does. Having spent her career in Western Canada, she understands that trust is earned through consistency, transparency, and a genuine commitment to the people around her. For Allie, a successful business transition means continuity, for employees, customers, and suppliers alike. She believes that understanding what motivates people isn’t just good leadership; it’s good business.
PEOPLE FIRST LEADERSHIP
Allie is not a passive owner. She intends to work alongside the existing team from day one, learning the business from the inside out, developing growth strategies, improving processes, and strengthening financial discipline. Her background in private equity has given her a rigorous toolkit, but her operating philosophy is simple: continuous improvement, built together.
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Building and running a business is hard. Allie knows this, and she doesn’t shy away from it. Her approach is to roll up her sleeves, work hand in hand with her team, and take the time to truly understand complex challenges before reaching for solutions. She is in this for the long run.
